I think my hood was originally black. It is now greying (as I am). Best product to rectify the situation?

there are lots of good items out there but most require prep clean, leave 24hrs, apply, leave 24hrs (both in dry conditions)

Have never applied one to a TVR but used Renovo on Jags and Astons.

Available from a "clever" on line source for TVR I believe hehe

I still have some Renovo left....costs thirty odd quid a bottle, so hanging on to it. eek

Some have used boot polish ! biggrin

Also 'Thompsons Waterseal', from DIY stores.

renovo'd mine in the spring, looked good, but i am beggining to become paranoid about it, so will of course be doing again very soon. wasnt inpressed with the water seal product they door, but got loads left so will be using it up.

Thomson waterseal i have heard of being used and it is mentioned in the Chimaera bible

Renovo has a black dye in it so will help to restore the colour.

Thompsons is clear so will aid water-repellancy but not improve colour.

Black boot polish and a packet of cheap sponges.

Apply in straight lines, works a treat.
