RADIATOR FAN SWITCH OR DRAIN PLUG
Discussion
Hello there,
TVR Taimar 3 litre, low wide type radiator.
Feeling around on the rear of the radiator, just above the header tank to radiator inlet there lies a 'finger diameter' hole with a rubber liner. Surely a third of the way up the rad is too high for a drain plug?
Fan switch hole? Whatever was there has, well, ceased to be!
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

Otter switch, the rubber top hat grommet has a reverse taper to it and fitting the otter switch forces this to expand and it then hold pressure...the original design comes with a bracket system that captures the switch and holds it in place, this will of long since rusted away and the best way to stop it from popping out is to wire it in position.
OR, if the radiator is out then convert this to a threaded boss for fitting a screw type fan switch BUT be sure to silver solder this boss on rather than soft solder or it will twist off when you tighten the new switch up!
