Shall I add you to the list of Cerbera owners going?

It is my first year as well and the Griff will do me proud on the drive.

I think this is turning into a list of Le Mans virgins!

I am also a first timer (with PlanetDave) going in my Griff.

Al, posted this a while back on another thread... Given the Le Mans sell-out, the cost of the EuroHoon, and your fancying a blast down to Spain over the summer, what's the likelihood of organising a budget trip over to your pad/somewhere in that region?

Do you honestly think I haven't thought of that one I can just picture Vicki's face...

"you know how you get really pissed off with me going out in the TVR all the time? Well I'm off on another run with three other cars... I'll be gone about 10 days... oh, and we're staying at your villa

this is something i was thinking of doing too. Have booked LM camping and admission tickets yet but not the ferry. Given the extortionate rates of the ferries this year, I was thinking of extending the trip so after LM I headed down to spain, was thinking of going on the Monday down through France.

My folks have a place down between Alicante and Valencia, but that may be a little too far to go.

definately something to think about though.

Not that far at all - it's getting to be about 70% that I'm taking the Griff down to Costa Del Sol again but this time I'll be taking a meander down the east coast through Barcelona, Alicante and so on - June sounds quite good as it's just before the school hols and it might not be a sstinking hot as July and August.

well as an example, Brittant ferries want £417 to go Wed night and come back Monday PM if I just go to le mans

or £472 to go Wed night and come back 2 weeks later...

I am starting a new job in a couple of weeks and will have to enquire about whether i can take the holiday but very tempted to make it a 2 week Le Mans - Spain roadtrip.

We (me, GF & Griff) were also thinking of doing an extended trip to Spain and/or South of France - would be nice to do it in a group though...

Would you go before or after Le Mans? We're thinking it's better to go before because after the race last year we were so wiped out we just wanted to get home.

thats true. Had only thought of going afterwards, no real reason really. But as you say, after the race I could do with my own bed and my own shower.

Needs some more thought this I think. Maybe a post in general gassing to get some interest of a pre-LM PH tour, maybe a week in more southern France to head up to Le mans for the thursday? Will only be of interest to those who have not already booked the ferry though.

No it isn't too far, I took the grif down to Denia last year for a WEEK, it has to be done! I'm sure you will really enjoy it.

Al, going down the east coast was nice with the sea in your view for most of it. I think June would be better for the heat, wow it was hot last year wasn't it.

I might be up for this Phil, obviously subject to management permission at home .
