Having owned the Monaro for a few months now, i decided it's time to get the quiet plates out of the wortec exhaust and go loud. So today i got under the car for the first time and got a fair shock....the exhaust plates have got the electric doings attached.
Having recovered from the shock i set about searching for the switch, but it's obviously very well hidden coz i can't find it anywhere. I followed the wires from the exhaust, into the boot, then to the interior where they disappear behind the n/s trim.
I'd rather not remove the cars entire interior just to find the switch was under my nose all the time, so if anyone can point me in a likely direction i'll be internally grateful.

Yikes.

It's near the traction control and rear fogs switches.

Can't see an electric exhaust set up like this being left un-finished! Have a chat with Monkfish or WORTEC as I'm sure they keep records on all the cars that are fitted with their goodies for future reference.

No, just a blank next to the interior light switch. Maybe i need to pull the center consol up to see if it's lurking under there.

I would probably speak to the people that have done the work first before taking the interior to parts!

Unfortunately i have no history on the car other than the dealer service history.
The switchable goodies are definately hooked up, black and red wires leading from little motors on both back boxes, through the boot floor to what looks like a relay next to the fuel tank and then on inside the car.
I've lifted the rear seats and can see the wires heading for the front of the car behind the side panel, but no sign of them coming out anywhere.
Would have been quicker to change the plates.

ok, i've just been for another look, you're right, it's not a light switch.
There are 2 things stopping me from feeling like a complete lemon, the first is the picture on the switch which looks very much like a dome light and the second is that the switch doesn't actually do anything.
I can only assume that if this is the missing switch (feeling like a lemon again now) then the switching mechanism is seized due to lack of use.
I'll investigate further tomorrow, thanks for the advise and lack of abuse, which i may well deserve.

How is that picture supposed to represent the exhaust??????????
I did say in my original post that it was probably under my nose, feeling very stupid now so will go and stand in the corner with a pointy hat on

It's a re-purposed switch. It would turn off the interior sensors on the alarm judging by the icon.

Right under your 'knows' :-)
