Discount on a new 500

Going to have a look at these today. Can you get discounts on them? Had a look on various DriveTheDeal sort of websites and they don't seem to be offering any money off.

Anyone on here managed to get a good deal?

From what i understand there is only one way to get discount on a 500. . .

That is Scrappage. . .

I have heard that Fiat are not Discounting 500's

16 weeks delivery at the minute thanks to scrappage, so u will struggle to get a meaningful discount.............

hmm im in the same boat, gf is looking at getting one and unfortunately her matiz is on an x reg so just shy of being allowed in the scrappage scheme. think im going to see if its possible to get a grand off which is what fiat would put towards the scrappage allowance. i realise i wont get the other grand from the government - but its got to be worth a punt - thing is with a 16 week wait they are obviously still an in demand car.....

the dealers wont budge on discount despite my best efforts. they have a 16week waiting list so arent really fussed wether they sell one to you or not because they know that the next person through the door probably will buy one.

took it out for a test drive and for a small car was pleasantly suprised.

i couldnt even get a staff discount, they won't even give you mats, they did give me a voucher for 1250 of goodies though! But no way would they give me a cash amount off of the car as said above seriously the next person through the door will buy it if you don't.
