How to keep cats orf moi laaand.

How can I keep cats off my drive? They seem to find it just the place for a dump and it's getting annoying now.

Aside from air rifles, nuclear munitions and a rottweiler........anyone know of any kind (ish) to cats methods please?

Apparently putting orange peel around the garden keeps them out, as they don't like the citrus smell AFAIK.

I thought that cats id not like gravel. This has turned out to be a fallacy as i have had my front garden gravelled and now a cat has started 'visiting'. It is leaving me messages about two feet from my front door..

I am hoping i have cured this problem with a 500watt PIR spotlight jobbie pointing into 'his ' corner. Time will tell!

unfortunately you haven't. we've got a 500w PIR on the front of our house, and a 250w on the other 3 walls, the veggie plot is still the cats toilet

My 500 watt will only activate when 'he' gets into his corner as it is pointing at the ground. It is also only about 6' from the target area so i am hoping for some shock value

If this fails i will get one of those PIR anti cat water cannon thingies but i don't see how i can use it in the front garden without soaking the posty

Or one of these would work a treat - a quick squirt of water will put the cat right off, and do it no harm at all.

How do you know it is a cat? Could your neighbour be doing the dirty?

Fill a supersoaker with lemon squash. Give the cat a good dousing when it comes into your garden.

It wont do it any harm, and the cat will have to spend ages cleaning the sticky lemony liquid out of its fur, which it wont like.

You can also get PIR activated sprinklers and citrus crystal things which are supposed to work quite well.

I not sure that the cats owners would appreciate you crapping over their entire house. My cat doesn't have a bed, just a series of favoured sleeping places.
