Yep, as the title says I completed the Brummie Half Marathon.

I've done a couple of 5K and 10K fun runs but this is the longest I've ever run.

Trained on and off for the last two months, about two to three times a week but never got to running more than 1.5 hours so was a little worried about the length today.

Anyhow, all was good except the last mile when my legs felt like rubber, breathing and stamina was no worries though.

Final time was 2hours 14 mins but my one goal was not to stop running, which I achieved.

This 40 year old (almost) is well happy smile

That's fantastic mate. I wish I was fit enough to compete in something as gruelling as that irked

Thanks to the diversions for this "event" I was 40 mins late to work and about 30 mins late home.

Congrats. I did it too. Very hilly and a bit wet. Tired now and back in London.

Slightly traumatized by Birmingham City Centre last night. I was worried I would be mugged by someone half naked - and that was just the blokes......

Well Done, I think the first time over any distance is the one you tend to remember, and a decent time too (for your age)

Whats the next one - full marathon ? Its easy to go longer than quicker !

Good one.

Now don't waste all that training - enter a full marathon. Not that much harder, honest.
