Recommendations for a new airbrush and compressor

Somehow or other I've managed to misplace my airbrush, can't find the damned thing anywhere.
As it was a pretty basic old Badger I'm thinking of upgrading to something a bit more versatile. Question is simple really - what do you guys recommend ?

It'll be used primarily to complete 1/12 scale plastic cars (Tamiya and the like)

I would be interested to hear what compressors and guns get the thumbs up? The piggy bank can be squeezed to the extent of two to three hundred quid which I hope will get something reasonable.

I'm sure everyone will say 'Iwata' and they're probably right. I use an ancient DeVilbiss Super '63, which is great, if tempremental: setup is critical.

My compressor is exactly like that. The motor does run quite often, so I have to give mine regular rests. However, I don't think you will get anything more powerful without splashing out your entire budget. There is no need to spend a huge some on a DeVilbiss unless you are a professional artist to be honest. The Chinese ripoff copies will do 90% of the job for 20% of the price. My skill is still nowhere near being limited by the brush.

Thanks guys, some good links there.
I like the look of that compressor, should do me fine for the forseeable future.
When I mentioned the subject of airbrushes to my younger son he pointed me in the direction of www.britmodeller.com where they have pages and pages of discussions about AB's and compressors. Then he offered to lend me my own airbrush back ! At least it solves one mystery.

I shall try one of the dual action Japanese brushes to start with (can always pass it on to the next generation if I don't get on with it)

Found another wonderful site during my wanderings - www.f1m.com - it shows what some truly talented people can achieve. At least it gives me something to aim at.
