In an attempt to balance the books the Govt appears to about to be starting a £3 billion fire sale.

The Tote and Dartford crossing fair enough I suppose when the finances are so shot, but the student loan book yikes. Isn't that the kind of trading that got us in this mess in the first place ?

The Dartford Crossing is not 'fair enough' - the crossing was supposed to be free once the cost of construction was covered. This has already happened.

I guess instead of raising it to prevent congestion (instead of removing the barriers to prevent congestion) - at least the rise in costs will be to pay shareholders.

What an utter disgrace this administration has become. Selling of debt like racketeers, they should be ashamed of themselves, but even shame has its price, and its obviously too high for this shower of worthless ponces.

The first Severn Bridge was supposed to be free once paid for.
That was in the 60s and we are still paying £5.00+ to cross it.

When we have fk all left, what do we do then?

This country is totally fked in every way.

And - BTW - what right have they to do this on the eve of their destruction?

Call a fking election Gordon you sniveling UNELECTED scottish shyster. (Note he's mainly selling English assets in return for his fked scottish banks. Mutha.

So, he sells fkloads of our gold at circa $400 an ounce

and now he proposes to sell billions of our property assets in the middle of a property price decline.

Maybe, if the property was surplus, he should have shifted some in early 2007. Knobhead.

Oh jesus it gets worse. URENCO is our stake in a nuclear fuels supply organisation. Genius. Sell your stake in the feedstock of the energy type you're just about to get balls deep in.

Really - genius.

Who elected Margaret Thatcher as Prime Minister again? My memory must be slipping as I don't remember Tony Blair being elected as Prime Minister either.

Anyone up for forming a consortium/investment vehicle to buy all this stuff, and then in 2012 we can dispose of it all back to state, stipulating a fee for our troubles.

We all know the technicalities, makes no odds. He's sitting in Number 10 on the back of 22% of the electoral vote and a lie by Tony Blair.

So Gordon, hiking up fuel duty wont affect the recovery then!

He's just scared stless the house of cards (weak but alive economy based on a furious and unprecedented print run of 20's) is going to fall hard on it's arse before May next year.

They should accept they have no remaining authority to make such fundamental decisions about OUR assets.
