The key word is PROVISIONAL. Nothings sorted until a hard and fast version of the F1 calender is announced. These dates are a best guess.

If the provisional date for the FoS remains, it will be the weekend before Le Mans Classic, which has always previously clashed. However, a trip down south, 3 days of glorious Goodwood then ferry from Portsmouth to France and you've got yourself the finest 10 days of motoring action imaginable.

I can't wait, I have gone to the festival of awesomeness....ohh, sorry, festival of speed (LOL) since I can remember, I love it every time, the only thing I don't like about it is when it ends, IT SHOULD JUST BE NEVER ENDING!

This year I may make an effort to go to the revival aswell

can someone answer my question though please...

If you go to the Goodwoood revival, do you HAVE to dress up?

^^^^^^ You don't have to dress in period no, but most people there this year at least made an effort with nice clothes ie. shirt and tie for the gents, and smart/nice gear for the girls. If you're in jeans and a fleece you stand out a bit, and not in a good way.

Adds to the fun.

No you don't have to dress up, it's just that the majority of people like to dress up. You should avoid wearing current motorsport attire however (Ferrari branded anoraks and mclaren T-shirts are the worst). It really makes the person wearing them look like a prat IMO thumbup If you don't want to dress in period clothing, Goodwood do a retro looking pair of overalls which actualy make you look the part without costing very much (especialy if you add a flat cap for effect)

Anyone that intends going for several days and staying down there, I'd get a move on!

Spent a lot of time sorting my accomodation out and all the usual suspects (from low end premier inn to high end rooks hill) are booked out already (even as far out as Arundel)

Ye it was even hinted at several times this year by the on site commentators, I reckon its a dead cert. I must look into what sort of vehicles we are likely to see.

Just read in your article in the engines in the 50s had fuel consumption figures of 175 litres per 100km, the wifes 1.5dci Laguna does 6 litres per 100km!! Thats some pretty Bad ass fuel consumption.
