Got a viral email from this morning, but I can't get any sound on it. Its full of astonished people looking like they are saying "OMG" and "wow". Dyson are saying that they have invented somnething wonderful for the home and that they will launch it in the coming days. So what is it? Any one know?

No idea, but if it is as durable as their other products I expect I'll see plenty of them when I visit the tip next weekend.

Maybe they decided that you ladies have more than enough of an arsenal to keep you amused and have invented something for us chaps, along the same lines.

A BJ machine that will maintain full suction, even when the bag is full.

TBF they are not that bad. The biggest reason why people throw them away is because they don't realise that you need to change the filters on them occasionally. If you don't, they overheat and thermal-trip. People then think they're knackered.

I've changed my filters. I've even done the 'bath' trick to remove the dust you cannot get at in the vortex generators. Still trips out. Not complaining, it must be eight years old, but I think it is knackered.

My Dyson vacuum cleaner certainly wasn't resistant to the harsh use my cleaner put it to. Ripped the end off the hose, split the hose part way along its length, damaged the power lead where it enters the handle, cracked the front bumper (heavy impact into my furniture no doubt).

She never emptied it either, useless woman.

Did you do the bottom filter - the one that is supposed to last a lifetime hehe Mine was the same until I put a new one in.

I'm not saying they're perfect - far from it - as mine has had new hose, filters, brush, belts, and is made up of approx 60% superglue, duck tape, and araldite. However, lots of those you see at the skip are dumped there prematurely as the majority of people don't understand about the filters etc.

That is a hand dryer that actually works and dries your hands rather than the normal ones that you give up on and wipe your hands on your jeans to dry them after 10 seconds.
