I've decided to let my 1972 2 door Range Rover go and try to find a late model soft dash v8 or 300 tdi to replace it.
I had plans to update the 2 door (which has CSK seats, LPG, massive webasto and a new g'box) with a 3.9 inj annd auto box etc as part of a general refurb, but now I think a newer model will suit my (our family's) needs better.

Has anyone experience of the 300tdi. Is auto or manual the way to go. I understand it's generally considered a reliable engine provided cam belts have been done.

Otherwise I'm going for a V8 and get the best LPG system I can.

... that was Monday...

Now it's Friday I've changed my mind again! Keeping it. Found too many pics of top two door cars which have given me renewed inspiration...
