My wedding is in under a years time and me and the best man are off for a few beers wednesday night to try and get some ideas of how to spend the most important part of the Wedding ... The Stag do.
The only restrictions I have are that it has to be in this country
In the last year I've been on a couple of stag do's one being in Birmingham and one being in Blackpool so I don't want to go back to either of those places as there are a few who in my party who will have been to all 3 stag parties.
As for ativities we've already done a days shooting and quite a bit of Karting so fancy something a bit different.
Any ideas/reccomendations?

I'm having the same thoughts at the moment,as I'm getting married abroad next year, so thought I'd have the stag do in this country. I went on a stag do in Edinburgh a couple of years ago which was excellent, and I love Cornwall, so I was thinking of either Edinburgh or Newquay (before anyone says anything, Newquay is far from my favourite part of Cornwall, but it's probably the only place that's really suited to stag do's).
There'sa place near Edinburgh that does Rage buggies, which is why it's my current favoured option, although there is a reasonable looking outdoor karting centre in Cornwall...

Newquay for mine
didn't wear a stitch of my own clothing
didn't wear a stitch of my gender's clothing
had two amazing nights
went coasteering and swum in the sea
went coasteering and vom'd on a sealion (vicinity of,)
nearly got refused boarding the plane back Newquay-Manchester due to unkempt state

I've been on several European Stag weekends - Budapest, Barcelona, Prague, etc. They all end becoming a blur. When taking into account all costs I have spent almost £1k per weekend. With that in mind, why not go on the Jonathan Palmer day at Bedford Autodrome with beers after. I've not been but every review I've ever seen says it's amazing and is somethng you'll all talk about for years. Unlike other track days, they actually encourage you to go faster and compete with each other in some of the best cars. It costs a bloody fortune but is worth every penny. I keep hoping to get a corporate invite, but if it doesn't appear in the next 5 years I'm just going to pay for it myself.

I'd love to do that but the cost is just too much, my stag party wont pay it.I'm getting hitched next year aswell so will be having a stag do.
My only criteria is to NOT spend my supposed 'last night of freedom' vomiting into a gutter or being so pished I can't see or remember anything.
I want to actually enjoy it and gather some good friends, do some karting/a track day and then head to a local pub for a few beers and laughs.
I don't want to be dressed like a tvat, having shots poured down my throat in some grotty nightclub in Blackpool, cheered on by a load of blokes wearing Ben Sherman shirts.

We did consider coke and hookers but we thought we should do something different to our normal weekends.
Edinburgh sounds quite good but what type of ativities are there locally?
Went to Edinburgh last August for my Brother-in-law's stag do, we made sure it was during the Fringe Festival, we had a great time, lots of shows and acts on all throughout the weekend and a massive fireworks disply on the Saturday.Edinburgh sounds quite good but what type of ativities are there locally?
Lots of bars,Clubs, hookers and coke at your disposal
I'm trying to organise my best mates for Jan next year. Aiming for London and Friday night will be a Soho comedy club followed by a club/bar (revolution maybe). Saturday will be karting at The Raceway, followed by steak at the Gaucho Grill and then somewhere cheesy like the Roadhouse in Covent Gdn.
Biggest stumbling block for me is finding cheap but decent accomodation for 15 blokes.
