BREAKING MY S3 1990 H

HAVING bought this 2 years ago with the intention of rebuilding it ,due to the fact s prices have dropped so much i cannot justify the cost to rebuild it so have bought a second s3 requiring less work .all parts are available thanks kev

Mmmm could do with a chassis

hi, i have just acquired ? inherited a very worse for wear s2 (2.9i) bonnet hige part of chassis damaged (now repaired with newly fabricated slotted box section) doors falling off as both top hinge bushes have broke out of bodywork, a broke passenger door glass, brakes that barely work at all, BUT it is very low mileage, very fast and apart from the damage to the bonnet hige area has a great chassis. so first of all i would like to know if you have the door glass (passenger side) and if so how much you would let me have it for, also i understand that the s3 has disc rear brakes and wondered if it is a straightforward swap to convert the drums to discs and if so who much you would want for the necessary parts, thanks very much.
anyone else with any great ideas of how to repair and preferably reinforce the top door hinge arrangement please let me know, thanks.

S3 still has drums at the rear I'm afraid, S4 has discs.

First welcome to the wonderful world of the S

First I would suggest that the damage to the door bobbins is likly to require an expert to sort out properly, where about are you based. Someone on here could well be able to recommend a garage to fix. eg if its the midlands I know just your man.

Yes indeed, I took her for a spin, and figured, what more fun could I buy for this sort of money.

So I've decided to spruce her up a bit, and see if I can't get some more miles on the clock next year to justify.

How you getting on with your one, six months in and all that, now that would make an interesting topic, how you felt when you brought it and how you feel now.
