Mondeo Mk3 crash sensor replacement

Afternoon all,
I've got a 53 plate Mondeo estate diesel which has started coming up with an airbag error when started. I've done some reseatch and found this useful error code list (http://www.fordmondeo.org/wiki/index.php/Airbag_Flash_Codes) which tells me my error 42 is a crash sensor fault
I've found a guy on ebay selling working units for 15 notes (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320427266088&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT) but I was wondering if anyone on here has replaced one themselves? Is it a job an ordinary joe soap can do or should I get it booked in at the garage? Any tips?
