ok, so just been into BB to pre-order my forza 3 LE. I'm thinking of treating myself to a wheel & pedals. Which one is the best one to go for? I have not had a hweel since they were digital, left/ right was full lock or nothing!!

You'll get mixed reviews from PH'ers on the Xbox wheel. I personally don't mind it and mines served me well. Yes the pedal feel is a bit strange but you get use to it. If you've got cash burning a hole in your pocket (and lots of it) go for the Fanatec wheel. My piggy bank has got enough pocket money in it yey for me to by it, but one day..........

Yeah I'm after a wheel too. Want to spend £80 or less. Microsoft one was what I was thinking of too.

I use the MS wheel and have never had any problems with it. Not tried any of the others available though.

I was going to ask about wheels too, what with the impending release of Forza 3.

So, of the wheels mentioned above, are they ok to use whilst slumped in a comfy chair playing Forza 3?

Not without a proper wheel mounting point really. Most people knock something up, or buy a specific stand for it, which all adds to the purchase price.

The MS wheel is shaped so it sits on you lap pretty well.

I'm getting a stand for mine dont care about the exta £££ will be worth it when playing Forza 3. When you think about the hours you will put into it it's no big deal.

Is it not a bit low on a coffee table? I want to get a wheel but i'm going to have to get the stand. Anyone have a link to the stand, cant remember who makes it, its somewhere in the EU and its about £80?

Thing about Forza is that it's so good with the pad, the feedback communicated through it is enough to not warrant using a wheel.

Whilst I'd love a wheel at times, I can't justify having one in our house, nor is all the effort of getting it out and set up everytime justified for me personally.

i find the wheel better for small inputs...with the pad its lock to lock in 1" !

I agree with the kit though...we have 3 guitar hero guitars on the wall, the wheel and race seat....etc, etc (lounge looks like an arcade!)
