CATS!!!

i have 2 cats. love em both to pieces.

but..... i fully understand that them bringing you a mouse is a gift from them to me. and they do so on a regular basis. but when the little fker brings in a massive rat- still alive at 3am it kinda pissed me off. then to top it off, sunday just gone, i look out the window to find a squirrel in its mouth. FFS!

im actually scared to think what will be next.

so my question is...... is this normal? and can i get something to stop him from bringing in the entire contents of the woods behind?

A collar with a bell - they wont catch anything as it alerts the birds / mice etc they are coming.

We have had live rats, mice, birds, frogs etc. I know when mine have something, as they both growl and whine.

Bigger bell! or attach a casio with an alarm that goes off every 5 mins.

Had rabbits and frogs too.

Never quite realised that frogs scream and that rabbits have quite as much blood as they do.

Never had bells work. But then we have stopped using collars after a friends cat had a mishap with one. Had a good few rats as well as other mammals. Some alive and some dead, finding ole ratty behind the cupboards was fun. Don't know how long he was cowering there but as soon as he saw the light of day he was off. Along with the cats chasing, then us.

Just put up with it. Bag em and bin em if dead and try to catch and release if alive.

That's exactly what they'll do - if you're lucky and they don't get their paws stuck in the collar (or scratch themselves) removing it.

Had a head from a mouse on the kitchen floor this morning with eyes open. Horrid. Whats that little gall bladder looking thing, they always seem to leave? Came down the stairs with nothing on my feet last week, and trod on it. Squelched nicely between my toes. Gits

This is a few years ago when we lived near woodland, was a regular find when getting in from work - and the picture doesnt show the birds blood on the walls and ceilings - gits.

Mine tried to get a duck through our cat flap once, it failed, and fk me a duck is huge up close.
