I had a similar problem a couple of years ago. I suspected it was because the vid was longer than the available memory on the pc I was using (ancient laptop with 512mb memory).

take card out of camera

shove it into a usb based card reader

shove the end into the usb socket

if autoplay kicks in , open card to view files

if not, goto the drive that is visible from my computer

move the file to the hard drive

Conflicting information - is the problem that you can't get the movie on your PC, or that you can't upload it to photobucket?

Thanks for repeating the first post, I definitely needed you to do that. Since we're helping each other - on Monday 9th of November, which incidentally is after the first post, the same person wrote this:

cutting up the video and uploading to photobucket would seem to me at least tp be a step on from getting the video off the card or camera, hence my original question. What I'm struggling with is why you felt the need to wade in with insults?

Because I suspect he failed to read the OPs second post regarding Photobucket, which as you say implies a further level of progress.

Mind you the OP has not helped matters by the low level of detail provided, nor any follow-up posts to resolve the confusion.
