I think Albert Lock (in Rushden) has one in his yard. Well worth having a chat with him.

He's worked on my dad's Mercs for about 35 years, I guess he is a bit "old school" though. smile

The G350 turbo diesel in your link is pretty rare in the UK and if it was for sale here I would expect it to be two or three thousand pounds more expensive. The downside would be that it is left hand drive and does'nt appear to have any rear seats !!

I am looking at a G350 or the V8 G400. LHD will be part of that as I am not paying Uk prices.
The last G400 I saw was 30k.

That 350 I liked because if the oddity value. Don't need seats etc as we have a boring family car.

Quite a difference in price between a G350 and the G400 V8. If you have around £30k to spend then obviously the G400 is the one to buy if you can find one. The late model G500 petrol is also in this price range and you could get one in right hand drive. I think buying an expedition equiped G without rear seats is not a very good idea unless of course you are planning on going on an expedition. If you have rear seats at least you can share the G experiance with the family.
