Been looking everywhere for some padded trousers for winter? Not the tight ones, I'm too modest for that.

Doesn't seem that hard but it's as though the high street stores sell everything but this combination. I'm just a commuter not a hardcore cyclist.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Padded tights with baggy shorts over the top? Or those padded short liner things and a pair of trousers over the top?

Just padded trousers probably wouldn't work too well would it? If the trousers aren't tight then the padding will move around and not always be where you need it.

umm I dunno. I have some padded shorts already. They have the padded tights underneath but then they have the shorts clipped into them on the outside so they don't move around much. They're neat because they have pockets on them and look a bit more 'normal'. I just want that, but with trouser length legs!

Just unclick the shorts and wear them under other clothing. thumbup

I need to keep my knees exposed when I cycle, someone suggested leg warmers with knee length baggies which I thought was a good idea. Could that work for you?

Long cotton socks seem to have all but disappeared frown

Which ones do you have? I know Endura make shorts, mid-length and full-length trousers that all use a common clip-in padded liner system...

I'll check. They might be what I'm after anyway.

Endura Humvee's can be had in full length variants - they may do the job.

Next time you see a police officer on a cycle (rare I know) have a look what they wear. They are trouser length and look padded and waterproof.
