In car is fine, as long as its fixed.

When you line up first run point it out to the marshaller.

(TBO just use a bit of common sense when filming, remember this is an active military base and they can now hold you without charge for 40 days for suspected terrorism hehe)

Similar topic so didn't want to start a new thread...
I want to get loads of video footage of the event, so will have cameras in the car etc, possibly along with proper sound recording kit. Would it be allowed (or even advisable) to mount anything on the outside of the car? Also, what's the deal with spectator's taking videos? Is there an official "videographer" for the event?

cheers

Its a mini DVD one without a usb lead, any ideas how to get the pics from the disc onto the net?

Like I said, use a little sense and you`ll be fine. But I`d guess that if you`re caught filming in the opposite direction to the cars you`re on your own...I don`t know you hehe

Do you mean the whole process or just from hard drive to net?

Just to get it from the actual DVD disc (mini one) that goes in the camcorder onto the net. As say the camcorder doesnt have a USB lead (borrowing it!) and the mini DVD disc wont play in my laptop so a bit stumped on how to get it from that mini DVD disc onto a PC and onto the net!?

Would you 'appen to know what file type the camcorder saves in. If you plonk the disc in the drive can you explore the disc and read the filetype?

You could get an external dvd drive for your laptop (tray type), and then stick the dvd from the camcorder in that

The other thing to do would be just to take the camera and a load of discs and record what you need then hand the disc to someone else and they could convert it all over for you. If your stuck for someone to do it, i'll do it for ya.thumbup
