Do i get the new GTR????

Changing my 997t and can't choose what to get i keep coming back to the gtr, i have driven one and due to test drive another soon, it is to be used as a daily runner and would be grateful for any inputs on for or against points! Godzilla i wonder if you have any input as i see you use yours for the same family/fun car??

If you can afford to purchase the GTR then OMFG YES...surely the Nurberg Ring Time should sell it to you.
I think either the Gun Metal or White colours look awesome on it - do it - you will be cheating your self and your fellow Ph if you do not.

From reading reports I would expect the ride to be equally hard on the GTR and GT3?
How accessible and involving was the GT3 day to day. I know from the track they are stunning in terms of involvement but did you access this level day to day and relative normal speeds?
I found the GTR needed the power to be used extensively to get real enjoyment from the chassis.
I recently had a Z06 and it was just too powerfull to use within "dodging" the law day to day. On track is was awesome in everyway.

From reading reports I would expect the ride to be equally hard on the GTR and GT3?
How accessible and involving was the GT3 day to day. I know from the track they are stunning in terms of involvement but did you access this level day to day and relative normal speeds?

Two completely different cars, the VXR8 is a good car for what it is but it has nothing on the GTR. Well apart from a fantastic sounding engine and a loose rear end.Andy.

Hi David, to be honest, I think it should be compulsory for anyone called David, considers himself a car nut and can afford one, to buy a GT-R! Thanks in advance

I have a modified Z06 and intended to keep that and sell the GT-R, but as soon as I took delivery that plan went right out of the window, the GT-R is superior in every way.
The 997 TT is an awesome car in isolation, but again, the GT-R beats it in every objective and subjective parameter.
Yes, it even has more "soul" than the Stuttgart missile. (The 997 GT3 has more than either, but is otherwise not a match for the GT-R.)

GTR is a really nice place to sit...loving it!
hi, forgive the stupid Qs: is the GTR a good day to day car, for short trips etc. And how much agro is it getting it serviced. The context is that i have a 996tt with mods and its ferociously quick (and big uprated brakes so its stops as well!). It's never given me any problems and of the 4 911's ive owned inc 997S, its the most satisfying. I also have a mark 6 golf gti for day-to day, station run, 4 seats, boot etc etc. I may be having a mad moment, but would a GTR mean i only need one car.. ie can do what both the tt can and the golf. THat way i'd get more use out if than i do the 911. With the 911, the servicing is no problem, quite cheap too, tyres are easy to source (I've put michelin PS2's on) etc... does the gtr require specialist servicing, and tyres etc and have they proved to be reliable cars in general ? Any thoughts/input would be welcome...

See my links above for my long term review and there are a few others written by some other GT-R owners.DD
But in short, the car is fantastically capable of everyday use (although parking is not the easiest as it is quite big with hard to see extremities).
Gearbox is amazing in Auto mode and mindblowing in Manual.
Not a real 4 seater though, short people only in the back.
Yes to specialist servicing, although they all offer a complimentary "concierge" service that will collect and deliver your car by transported.
Servicing costs are cheap if you haven't pushed the car into "swap gearbox oil" temp territory.
Tyres are reaasonably priced from Camskill.co.uk.
