I was wondering if anyone could suggest an interesting route London to Hollyhead, then once crossed to Ireland heading up to Ballymena in NI.
That apparently is the "short" route.

Don't try the London-Carlisle-Stranraer-Larne route, because
the London-Carlisle bit takes about five hours, whatever you drive,
and the Carlisle-Stranraer is about two hours, because it's
mostly one lane each way and *packed* with lorries.

I will fly next time.

What ever you do make sure you take the A5 through Wales, so long as you miss any traffic and road works...

djon - be interested to hear about your experience.

My Mother lives in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland and i fancy taking my 911 C4S cab on a run over there.
