Can anyone more versed in climatology help me here?

Just had the below email circulated to a group of people I'm involved with - I'm not versed enough to comprehensively refute the arguments, but it seems a little "Daily Mail - esque" to let lie. If anyone can put forward a succint refutation of what's being presented here, I'd appreciate it

We want to try to get lots of Drummers onto the street in Edinburgh on 24th Oct, for the biggest ever International Day of Action on Climate Change.
The city of Barcelona has already committed to do the same (350 Drummers on the streets) that day.
The significance of 350, relates to the latest science from James Hansen the NASA climatologist indicating that we need to get down to 350 parts per million of CO2 in the atmosphere to have a chance of avoiding run away climate change and extinction. WE are currently on 388 ppm, so the task is massive and the urgency is critical. To get world governments to listen, we need to make a lot of noise and fuss to get them to sit up and take note and take swift action.

WE will be gathering at the Council Chambers on the Royal Mile between 12.00 and 12.30 with a view to marching down to Holyrood at 12.45pm. The rhythm will be managed by a guy called Dave Boyd, who organised the communal drumming for the Big Bash in Glasgow a few weeks ago.
At Holyrood, it has been arranged to create the number 350 using 100 plus people wearing something blue and hopefully have some Press there to photograph the occasion.
