Expected mileage for a clutch??
Discussion
Clutch slave cylender is the main culprit - it is mounted inside the bell housing to keep it away from road bumps, weather etc - unfortunately it gets very hot in their and the seals perish - then you get to the problem, because it is inside the bell housing, you need to split the engine and gearbox to get at it! Makes it a bit pricey - mine went at the 36k service, not needed a new clutch yet (fingers crossed) so cannot comment on their expected life

Fortunately the clutch went on mine the day after i agreed purchase of the car. The previous owner footed the bill car was on 24K. If it does go shop around, the guy i bought it off got HHC to fit a racing clutch for cheeper than his orig dealer for a standard one. But to be honest i don't know the difference, all i know is that its lighter than the clutch in my g/f clio
