I have spoken to a local agent who gets the tyres (rears - 235/50 ZR16) direct fromn Toyo and she is telling me they have 1 and if I want any more it will be 3 MONTHS from when I place the order. The tyres have a couple of weeks or so in them. She is trying to locate another but I don't hold out much hope.
Are there any suitable alternatives - ie wider with lower aspect or another make? I don't want to spend a fortune either - quoted £117.50 each for the Toyo's - fully fitted, balanced etc.
The car is a '97 500 with 7" 7 spokes.

I managed to get two 205/55/15's and two 245/45/16's for my Griff in the autumn without any problems at all. In fact, I even phoned up Toyo themselves to make sure they actually made them in the right sizes and they said they had "a warehouse full of them". Can't imagine they've shifted them all already!!!

funny...left half of my first set at castle coombe in november!!
no where near as hard wearing as bridgies.
but softer and grippier (not much!)
factory recomend goodyear GSD F1's (not sure of the letters) but if you ask for the correct speed rated F1's you'll get the right ones.
TOYOS NO LONGER ON NEW TVRS!!!
apparently TOYO got abit full of themselves and started using TVRs name with permission etc.
so they are out now...goodyears in!
(running out of tyre manufacturers now

)I guess Pete cut a better deal
I must be a sucker for marketing because the TVR/TOYO deal did influence me to try the cheaper TOYO ROADPRO 610...I have found them to be very good, especially in the wet on Ibiza and more recntly also on my C5...think I will stick with the SO2 on the Griff though
