Audi A4 1.8t advice
Discussion
My 1.8T 190 S Line has been great, make sure the car has had the water pump changed, they used plastic in the internals on early models, which the cam belt has to be come off to replace if it needs changing.
Also buy some coil packs, they go 3 times in three yesrs on mine, £30 a pop from main dealer.
Apart from that, trouble free motoring. Oh,and have it chipped

AAT hit the nail on the head there
Usual stuff really, make sure panel gaps are even and paint finish is correct. Glove box and armrest lids are fragile and surprisingly expensive. Aircon should be cold, "needs gassing" means expensive problem. If it's done some miles you can be looking at worn bushes on the front end (feels vague and steering indirect) which isn't the end of the world but budget for it if you want it to feel nice and tight. S-Line wheels get kerbed 99 times in 100 but I've never seen one buckled.
