When I hear these stories I don't know what to make of The UK anymore. On the one hand The UK can still produce incredible heroes, but it can also produce thick, selfish and cruel people.

Pretty much sums up the UK, sadly. Like you said, it is an incredible country, it's punched above its weight since it's birth. This is the reputation that Britain built for itself. Unfortunately it only takes a tiny minority to really drag everything down. I'd chop their limbs off if I saw that.

Christ... You mean to tell me people never 'laughed' at people with disabilities before? People never laughed at the 'flids' or 'spastics', and there was no jokes about Simon Weston, and nor were there any mockery of the WWII wounded after the war, the Etheopian famine, or what have you? No, instead we have sensationalist headlines. The guy should not be laughed at, especially after how he served the country, but for christs sake, don't turn it into an "it wasn't like that in my day" type thread, because that is quite patently untrue.

Kids have always been, and always will be sts on matters like this, and today is no different.

Kids will always be cruel , but i suspect these were of the chav-like breed.

National service with a short deployment to Afghanistan for the dis-respectful little wkers should do it , lets see how funny it is then , when they come across an IED

This Country is being dragged down by chav scum. We should devise some type of assessment system then introduce NS for the ones below the bar and use them as cannon fodder in the heathen war zones.

win win.

Easiest solution is to sell them as bush meat to the starving African nations, we'll label it "Primeat". Will create jobs, create wealth for the government, get rid of the benefits state and provide nourishment for starving people abroad hehe

Cmon people, remember these insensitive thick-as chavscum pondlife young people will be victims of society within the ideology of our highly respected government and its 'thinking' so they'll need lots and lots of handouts to see the error of their ways.

Don't be silly, we can actively manage the effects of swine flu.

Government Inspector: What do you do?
Member of public waiting for jab: I'm in the army.

Government Inspector: Jab. Next. What do you do?
Member of public waiting for jab: I'm a nurse.

Government Inspector: Jab. Next. What do you do?
Member of public waiting for jab: I'm a power engineer.

Government Inspector: Jab. Next. What do you do?
Member of public waiting for jab: I work in Tescos.
Government Inspector: Hmmmmm....
Member of public waiting for jab: But I've not had a day off sick in two years, I do it for crappy money, I've never fiddled benefits and I'm only doing it because my other company went bust and I need the money for my family.

Government Inspector: Jab. Next. What do you do?
Member of public waiting for jab: I work down the sewers.

Government Inspector: Jab. Next. What do you do?
Member of public waiting for jab: Nathing mate.
Government Inspector: What?
Chavscum: Workins for losers innint. I just get Charlene up the duff every 18 months, claim I can't work because of me back, claim a Motability car because of that, claim to be a carer for me mum cos that gets a free car too. Quids in.
Government Inspector: So you don't make any contribution to society at all.

Plus I keep the old bill busy by getting rat arsed on a Saturday and beating up Kylie. But don't tell Charlene bout Kylie.......and don't tell the old bill about the car cos I ain't got no insurance or nothing.... and if you grass me and me mates will be round to sees ya.

Just cross out the "do not place plastic bags on head" warnings and wait for nature to take its course.

Surely, after exposure to an inclusion-based provision resulting in annual highest-grades-ever education, this is impossible...perhaps Diplomas have arrived too late, yes, sad really.

Victims of (late) Diplomas.

Smiler.

I was saddened to read about this.

Perhaps, the media should adopt of policy of shaming these fktards with headlines like:

"Spineless Turds Abuse Wounded Soldier"

They might not feel so big & clever then eh!

On another note - is that chap in the same league as Ashley Cole & Trevor McDonald, who were also referred to as "hero" this week?

I know two wrongs don't make a right, but sometimes it's what's needed

It doesn't surprise me. This is the third report I've seen in the last 30 days of scum abusing the less fortunate (the first being that woman who set fire to her car).

I've had similar, just out of hospital after a suspected broken ankle, cab took me to the nearest train station but I had to walk about 50m after it dropped me off. Some bloke rode past on his bike, saw me limping quite badly and shouted out "oi you cripple! hahaha!". Idiot.

yes Of course I don't think it's right, but I wonder how many of the outraged people here have done Joey Deacon impressions before.

Sure, and we also make sure about punching female divas in the clackers ..
but to actaully to it to someone in public is cruel. And the 'Joey' thing had the Blue Peter element to it, if you get my drift.

Bizzarely I recall reading about this last week... confused

That aside, I hope they send the spineless idiots that taunted him out there, so they can see first hand what our troops do.

Recently went to an event to raise money for "Help for Heroes" - jeez, some brave people out there, and the st they've been through is staggering.
