She (safetey camera woman) said several cases were now being reviewed, but stressed the cameras had been tested and calibrated which proved they were working correctly.
"We have admitted we made a mistake in this case," she said. "Occasionally mistakes are made but they are very rare.

This is as bad as the Kengestion Charging feckup as shown on Watchdog last night. Some poor guys who were never in London got umpteen tickets!!! About time these types of charges HAD to go through the courts as they all seem to be very suspect!!! Human error, my foot! Some socialist scally in office deciding he'll rip off the unsuspecting public more like!!!

What I didn't understand about the Kengestion charging on Watchdog.
With the number of tickets involved this seemed to be a prime target for investigating cloning of number plates. Yet not a mention? Perhaps making out that the CC company is incompetent makes a better story.

Can understand your scepticism, however I have now e-mailed watchdog and they have confirmed over 40000 wrong CC "fines" have had to be revoked. With that sort of record some sort of pyre with Redken and his rip-off charge company as fuel is necessary!!!
Yes! and a cloninhg investigation.....no way that that newt-loving scumbag would support that. It'd mean less cash for his loony plans.........

Mostly these days I'm passing this sort of info to the ABD and concentrating on "speed and safety". There are nowhere near enough hours in the day to do everything!
I don't suppose there's anyone around here who would like to maintain a Safe Speed "cameras in the news" page is there? I warn you it could well take over an hour a day at the present rate of news.

The idea is to keep a list of important and known folk nicked for speeding which tends to help the social acceptability of "speeding" at the Sun reader level. (apologies to any Sun readers - you know what I mean!)
