Hi, anyone got any idea of the rough cost to change from flat to pitched? Typical single story kitchen extension at the back of a house, approx 20'x9' area..

Depends on a lot of factors.

Roof covering? Pitch? Rafter or Truss? Roof windows? Ceiling finish? Type of insulation? DIY or Roofing Contractor? Any restrictions due to existing windows etc?

Depends if you want green felt, or nice looking tile, or corrugated iron.

If you're going to go to the expense of changing it, tile every time IMHO. Ball park guess - £5k?

I built and tiled the 20 x 18 roof on my garage, cost about £1200, but I did it all myself. I guess about £600 or so for the tiles, the rest for timber, felt, and other stuff.

Blatant plug biggrin

I had this issues but as the walls were single skin block it was thought the easiest solution was to knock down and rebuild the whole thing; actually as a timber structure.
