Help me find an SPi please :)
Discussion
I'm getting desperate now, due to be on the grid for the Mighty Minis racing series next year and have yet to start building the car. We're converting a standard 92-96 Mini Cooper SPi to racing spec and have been looking for a suitable car for over a month with no joy. Anyone know of a suitable mini for sale? Must be a standard SPi, anything considered upto £1000ish. I'm based in Cheshire but willing to travel.
Thanks

I have a '92 Cooper 1.3SPi, with front damage which I bought several years ago to use as the donor for a Mighty Mini, but then decided to build a "Super" instead. It may be out of your price range, because I would only sell the project as a whole! This would include a brand new shell, with doors, bonnet & boot lid, painted in the original BRG with white roof, brand new front & rear frames (genuine Rover), brand new engine complete with new roller rockers & vernier timing kit, built by Howley (Super spec though), brand new cross pin diff, brand new shockers, hi-los, suspension cones, brand new cage, new rear anti roll bar, as new rear super minifins, everything is new and the whole lot is ready to assemble. The main things required to finish are tyres, seat & harness, & the harness bar which mounts to the roll cage main hoop & down to the tunnel. There are many parts which I haven't listed which are new, and many that are almost new. I'm open to offers for the whole lot, but they would have to be sensible offers, bearing in mind a new shell complete and with a proper paint job would cost in excess of £4000.00. Regards HowardThanks
