6 mths to wait and a thankyou.

Just arrived home following the last Races of the season.

The Party and awards ceremony was Great and as ever the crack was first class.

To all those that I didn't get a chance to speak to at the party I would like to say Thankyou for the all the friendship and entertainment this year. I think the TVR Chalenge allways has and always will have that little something that is missing from all other racing series.

This is definately due to the people who race! The organisers, The characters in the paddock and the wives and girlfriends who do a load behind the scenes to support one of the best race series in the country.

Thanks to you all guys and gal's and see you all next year, hopefully with a car, but how many years have I been saying that

Thanks also especially to Geoff and Linda for organising such a great end of term Doo.

Also a word to someone who couldn't make it to the end of term party for various reasons. I am sure I speak for everyone in saying that you were represented by a couple of fabulous offspring who collected some very well deserved awards on your behalf. you were a big miss at the party and we all hope that you get well very soon and come back to race with us next year.

Here here Neil - totally agree! The doo was a brilliant end to what has been a brilliant season's racing! And thanks for your kind words - we will return the trophy next year a little shinier than Deano did, haha!

Jill, my sister, has also asked me to pass on her sincere thanks to everyone for making her feel so welcome! She thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and said it just goes to show how friendly the TVR lot are! And I am certainly looking forward to competing with you on track next year after buying a car (while rather drunk) last night - can't wait for the new season now!!

Dave - I wondered where you were at breakfast at 8a.m. this morning after your optimistic claim to be "last in the bar, first up!" Oh well at least you sound as if you will be on the grid next year - would that be in Tim Davis' Tasmin by any chance?

Hi Richard - Graham, Alex Gore and I were the last to bed (about 5.30am I think) and I was in the pool at 8am - works wonders in sorting ones head out ready for the drive home haha...

Yeah it's Tims car. Dad's sponsor and me are going halfs and will share the car which is ideal to keep costs down for me and I can't afford a full season anyway! So it should be a fun year all being well...

Thanks all for a great last race and a great end of season do! I had a brilliant time although had one HELL of a hangover in the morning; managing just about to drag myself out of bed at around 3pm long after everyone else had gone! Now for the boring downtime - although hopefully not so boring this year as I've got my project to get running in time for next season. Now the clock is ticking, I'm sure it'll pass quickly. Can't wait to get out there and play

thanks for all the thoughts, was still in hospital on my last chemo of four saturday night, so it would have been impossible to be there, but I think my son and daughter made prettier representation than me ha ha, thanks for all your cards and well wishes it does help, am very positive, and with a new car to look after on track ie Dave and Peter, who between them bought tim's car lookes like i've got no option but to get back out, and kick some claas A arse in 2010,
