Obviously some names to tie the result with would be helpful lol. Sounds like a good start for someone though. Any 200+ yet ?

+1

I'm knackered and getting an early night ready for a 5 am start on Monday.

Enjoyed it all, thanks to Phil and Jez for all the hard work and Javelin for great organisation. Was my first and not last hopefully.

The meal was fabulous thanks to Charlie for getting that one sorted. As usual the company at the meal and brekky was excelent.

There were a few disasters for various people. And even before the day got going, Swordfishcoupes munro didn't make it to the track. Hope he got it home ok.

There were a couple of blown motors too, sorry Phil and Snatch. Just shows you what can happen when the old girls are stress tested.

I was lucky, so looking forward to the next one.

I'll echo those thanks. Well done Phil, Jez and Javelin. Shame to have passed Phil and Paul at the roadside on way home. Looked like mid-recovery.

Your 158 was pretty impressive, Gareth.

We enjoyed ourselves. You're all a great bunch.

Wonder if Mel will be posting soon ... :-)

Yeah Jez did the 193 I think.
Mine had hydrolic clutch issues, so while I ran up couldnt shift into 5th frown

Still I got to see a couple of FI engines take a dive.. again.. Ah the joys of forced induction smile

Ill let the owners spill the beans. I past one at the side of the A12 on the way home.. Hope its nothing major..

Mel won the fastest NA Monaro!

Looks like lots more forged rebuilds will be coming up!

Many thanks to Phil, Jez and Javelin for the day, thanks for letting an intruder join in today too. Massive amount of fun... Once i stopped the bonnet popping open on the runs I managed to run a 34.799 second mile with 142.55mph terminal in the 100k mile TVR, well impressed. 11 runs in total for me absolutely addicted to it.

Need some new tyres now though... Oh well biggrin

thanks for everyone who organised the event, but it was sad to see so many engine failures.

But i'm happy as i beat mel up to 120mph odd tongue out and got a new best 1/4 mile time of 14.108 not bad for just the sport pac on a cv8. Best mile was 35.479 with a terminal speed of 145.38 mph

Well done Jezz, 193mph is a respectable number, what speed did Harry run?

same sort of event on in texas today, standing start 1 mile race, Amit's Supra has the best speed with a 243mph pass.

Glad you all enjoyed the day

Had a coolant problem chasing down the Porsche GT2 on my last run.
Quick chat with Roger (Monkfish) and it was up and running for the ride home.

Not sure what happened to the M3 but there was a big cloud at about the 1.1/2 mile mark which I hope looked more serious than it actually is.

Harry`s was a suspected rocker failure.

Phil asked me to pass on his thanks to all who stopped to assist. Paul from Wortec stayed with him till the recovery truck arrived. The problem was eventually traced to an incorrectly torqued balancer pulley that allowed it to move letting the oil out.

Thank you all for a really great day out

Thanks to Charlie for the exhaustive research re the pub choice
