It's the best time to plant, move or pot trees and shrubs

I've seen several posts on when to move, plant or re-pot plants, so thought I'd give a heads up as it's now!

Well soon anyway - between leaf fall and New Year is the best time to move established plants in the garden. It's also the best time to plant new trees and shrubs as they suffer the least shock and wake up slowly as they should next spring already in position.

It's also a good time to look for bargains in the garden centres, they will sometimes have larger specimen plants that haven't sold this season and they aren't going to re-pot them, so need to get rid while most people aren't buying as it'll be winter soon.

The downside is a lot of effort now and no reward for about 6 months, but it realy is the best time to do these things.
