Any decent pubs in the centre of Holmfirth?

Ok,

Off to a Barclay James Harvest concert next week at the Picturedrome in Holmfirth, near Huddersfield and I have been asked by their webmaster to find a decent pub in the CENTRE of the town, where we can enjoy a bevvy before the gig next Sunday.

Any ideas?....

If you want a decent drink,no better place to go for sure.

Ask though,it's a little hidden away from view.

Is the 'Stage Door' (I think this is what is was called, it was a few years ago) still there? This was under the Picturedome around the back. Very low ceiling but always a good laugh and a lot of good beer on tap.

Depends what you mean by decent???

I was in The Nook last night and is probably the best pint in Holmfirth, it has it's own micro brewery and a student atmosphere but is far from a "nice" place to drink. If you want a more swanky place to drink then there is Herveys wine bar which is just a bit further past the picturedrome and past the Bridge hotel.
