A6 3.0tdi Whats the best tyre size for 18's?

I am trying to purchase a set of Sline wheels for my car but have seen differnet size tyres with them what is the best size to have? Thanx

Correct size is 245/40/18

Will 235/40/18 be ok? Think there of an A4?

They would give you an over-read of just over one percent (slightly smaller circumference) but reduce your tyre footprint on the road by a fair bit.

It isn't ideal and I wouldn't reccomend it to a customer but I doubt it will do any harm.
