Discussion
Hi folks,
Just wanted to pass on my experiences. Having been looking for a Caterham / Westfiled or equivalent lotus 7 style car, I finally made the decision and purchased a new factory built Tiger R6.
I'm not sure in this forum if everyone expects a blow by blow driving experience report, which i am happy to summarise in a few words "bloomin marvelous". What i would like to do is share my experience and praise for the support, customer service and personal approach that Tiger employ with their customers. I am fortunate enough to have purchased cars from many "luxury marques" including my last 3 daily drives from Porsche...and believe me, they could learn a lot from the small independants.
Time is the biggest cost to any business, yet with Tiger they will spend as long as you need discussing options, driving, racing, frankly anything you want to ask. The bigger positive, is that while you might expect that when you are about to open your chequebook, nothing changes once you have. Post sales they have been just as good, happy to chat, do a quick check of the car, always happy to invite you over for a cuppa and see how you are getting on ( without making you feel like an idiot).
I have driven a few Lotus 7 style cars, the Tiger R6 is quite simply (in my eyes) an R300 equivalent at Roadsport prices, it doesn't have the "brand appeal" of Caterham, but with the service you get, frankly I don't care. I have a great car, a significantly less agitated bank manager and a garage I trust and genuinely enjoy dealing with.
No I'm not on commission, I'm just think in this day and age, when someone, no matter how small, stands out from the crowd and goes the extra mile, they should be commended.
I've yet to complete my first thousand miles, but i have high hopes for the months ahead.
One very happy customer.

Lots of people on here would advocate the same approach - cheaper car, handling just as good, usually better engines . . . so you have the same or more fun, don't get worried about using it and costs are lower. What's not to like . . . hence why Westfield, Dax, Sylva, Tiger etc sell cars.
