Where to get some bits? Also advise about steel rear hubs
Discussion
Hi All,
Firstly, I cracked a front brake disc at Oulton last Saturday, must have got a tad hot. Where is the best place to get a pair of new ones? Anyone got experience of the EBC vented, grooved and dimple drilled ones?
Also, I'm taking off the existing ali rear hub carriers and replacing them with steel units complete with intergral trailing arm. I'll need a new pair of bearings, washers and hub nuts. Again, where is the best place to get them?
I'll have to modify the trailing arms to accept rose joints which isn't a big job, but I am assuming that all the other dimensions, angles etc of the steel unit are the same as the ali / trailing arm combo. Is that the case?
Thanks in advance
Dave

RT Racing are still probably your best bet for your trailing arms I would think. or try sarbec as i believe he bought the remains of cliff's old turbo tasmmin and that has rose jointed steel arms on it anyway. sarbec's car if it's th ex john sumner car is a frame rear so he wont be needing the trailing arms anyway as they wouldnt fit his a frame chassis.
brakes: we only ever ran brambo replacement discs, about 40 pounds a pair, with slicks on the turbo car and didnt really have any issues. we ran mintex 1166 pads with them.
did you get my message to you ref your engine and gearbox too? cheers.
