so ive managed to skim a wall that was in a state - what do i do re painting it there seems to be conflicting advice on the net. do i seal it with pva or just use watered down paint? how long will it need to dry? thanks

Leave it until it is dry, it will be a uniform light pink colour assuming you have used multifinish.

Mist coat (50/50) water/emulsion followed by 2 coats of emulsion.

Mist coat is the best way. I have been a decorator for too long and have never used PVA on new work only as a quick get over on chalky or dusty surfaces
