Need to replace the drivers side ...sidelight .
Ive replased the passangers before and had to take the bumper of via the wheel arches, now i can understand that
as the battery is in the way....so do i have to go through the same with this one?

Thanks

Hi, i have changed the sidelights before on my mk4 years ago. I managed to change both without having to take the bumpers off and was quite easy

Depends which model you have. There is no way to get behind the lights in my engine bay.

I took the front bumper off, then there are just two screws to remove the light units. Slide them forward, change the bulb with ease, re-assemble.

I've got a 1.6, managed to get them off without bumper. Passenger side was a pain in the arse though with the battery in way.
