BMW individual colours
Discussion
Am I the only one who thinks that some BMW individual colours should be banned - look at that interior, an absolute top car ruined IMO....

Remember seeing a newish 550iSE recently in the approved network which was just wrong - some kind of olive / beige colour with white interior. It had every option possible ticked and was like a brand new car. Was up for roughly £30K with under 10K miles on it - now thats depreciation!!

I agree with you Neil, surely someone at BMW could have had a quiet word with the chap when he specked the M5.http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/car_details/0,,1260...

I think this is the depreciation magnet you are refering to....

I like the colour, just wish there wasnt so much of it..... I think if it were just the seats and the door card 'inserts' it would look quite nice..... But then i used to love that BMW press car M3 Convertible (E36) in Boston green with Modena nature leather and orange indicators......
Of course, maybe i just have no taste......lol

my M3 has the same colour interior actually...
I bought it second had so didn't spec it and I did deliberate over whether or not to buy it for a very long time... Decided to get it in the end and figured a retrim if I didn't get on with it. Its really grown on me though.
Given the choice, it still wouldn't be my first choice (that would be Ecru with piano black) but I do rather like it now.

agree that there is a little too much of it in car in the OP.

The leather I could tolerate, but combined with that wood? Dear god!
Agreed.. The yellow leather in itself isn't terrible (but not my first choice either, granted!) But with the wood too?!
Still, at least the wood bits would be a lot easier to change out than the leather.. Plenty of alloy alternatives, or that piano black trim stuff..
P,
How do I go about finding out the colour (name) of my nappa leather interior? I don't have the original spec sheet. It is a kind of paule yellow, almost like the darker bit on top of a pot of clotted cream and the centre panels on the seats have a kind of chequered pattern texture on them.

I recently removed the rear seats from my E46 and found a sticker with the leather colour code. Quite easy to remove and replace the seats, they just clip in.
