I would love to get a chrono with a rotating bezel (I know it sounds daft but I like rotating the bezel and its getting embrassing rotating the chappy who has one at work - lol) - does such a beast exist and where is the best place to get one secondhand?

cheers

Loads of options

- what's your budget?
- how big are your wrists - can you wear large watches without them looking daft or being uncomfortable?
- does the watch need to be robust enough to withstand a few knocks & scrapes are are you very careful?

Sinn have just launched the New 103 with Diapal, the Ti is very nice.
A few other Sinns spring to mind...

A little more specific - small wrists so cannot wear anything too large.

Will need to survive a few knocks especially with young kids.

Budget about £400 ish for a secondhand one, although I would rather have something more vintagish.

£400 is a tight budget for what you're after. You may find a few Ollech & Wajs that fit the bill, but I can't think of much else. Move up to about £800 - £1,000 & there are some possibilies in the Sinn range.

I'm not very knowledgable on vintage, but vintage & robust are usually mutually exclusive.

I will try looking for a secondhand Sinn probably. I have an old Omega Constellation currently being serviced which will have to suffice.

I'd have to disagree there, I wear 'vintage' (50's , 60's , 70's) watches every day and they never let me down or seem to suffer.
That's in a sheet metal job with lots of riveting and hand forming of metal.

Very nice, but I'd wager you might want just a tad more than the OP's budget for it, but if I'm wrong, can I have first refusal please wink

Aaah, the Heritage. I'd love one but without the chrono and a blue face. Doubt I could wear it because of the size but I just love that mesh bracelet. Class act that.

The new Christopher Ward chrono, the C40 with the Valjoux 7750, has a unidirectional bezel IIRC.

Just over £400 and looks deelish.

Budgets shmudgets i.e. sorry, didn't see OP's budget.

There's a nice fake of my Breguet available, the subdials are slightly in the wrong locations because it uses a 7750 and there's no flyback complication, but it looks the part...

Great watch, but not particularly suitable for someone with small wrists or with under £1,000 to spend.
