Hi, Has anyone found a 'standard looking' drivers seat that gives some sort of lateral support on cornering? I'm fed up of fighting to stay in the seat in hard cornering......also, is there a steering wheel with airbag that fits the car that doesn't come from a truck? these two things wreck the driving experience !!!

I've never had an issue with the 'vader' seats, however, I think the only wheel that will the rack is bus-sized.

Ditch the airbag and get a nice Momo or Sparco wheel yes

I remember seeing an advert for an E36 not so long ago whereby the owner had fitted the E46 CS steering wheel. That is smaller and chunkier.

You could also pretend you had cruise control etc if you felt so inclined...

^^ Hmmm that sound more like it...

Would the airbag (if present) still function that way?

The slip ring is different, so you'll need to modify to fit.

Also the E46 airbag is dual-stage, so I'm not convinced it will ever work.

The AC Schnizer CLS had a pretty good interior if you like your trackdays, the ACS steering wheels come up on Ebay sometimes. No airbag though..

I've seen some E36's with Cobra Daytona seats, they look quite OEM if you get the right colour.

Fit a harness. It then does the job of holding you in your seat while cornering.

If the car is being used on the road as well as the track then get yourself one of these... http://www.cg-lock.co.uk/cg-lock/

I have a pair of them and really can't recommend them highly enough !
