I have the television and sat nav system in my 2002 M3 and was wondering whether it's possible to connect a DVD player so it runs through the existing monitor?

Thanks

There's a website called something like Toysinyourcar.com that sells an A/V input kit so you can connect stuff.

As post above they sell the DVD player and corresponding leads so it plugs straight in.

it's beyond me why anyone would want a dvd player in the front of their car... fair enough if you have kids and have screens in the back to keep them quiet but even that is a sad reflection of the times we live in.

I mean, I enjoy the odd dvd as much as anyone but it seems a little strange to sit in your car and watch your favourite movie / tv show on your sat nav screen.... unless of course you want to be entertained on the move and that's just irresponsible...

...or perhaps you just want to impress your mates? In which case, respect.

(if you have a job where you spend much of your time waiting around in your car, then ignore this rant, that's understandable)

I have TV in my car and have enabled it for operation whilst on the move. Once the novelty has worn off it's not really used at all. I really can't imagine getting any actual enjoyment out of watching a DVD.

However on my stag do heading to Cornwall with my mates in the car whilst watching Wimbledon mens final it was worth it's weight in gold.

Before anyone calls me irresponsible I was not watching myself. I do value my mates life more than TV time.

Yep done this little mod to mine, very simple and you only need 2 leads £30 each

Was great last weekend for the World Rally in wales, sleep in the car so had 10 episodes of top gear on my Iphone.

Leads required are
