I have never seen an empty greggs shop. Theres usually a queue about 10m out the door at lunch times.

Bet they havn't really had that much of a rise in sales in the recession.

They have probably been planning this for a while .... this is merely a form of free nationwide advertising for them

I live in Wigan. The home of pies. Greggs is only worth entering when every other pie shop has run out of everything they sell. It's st.

Seen numerous references to it, but never the original. I assume it's 'comedy gold' given the number of refernces to it, or am I going to be disappointed?

Looks like the OP's Inital message has been deleted, but in a nutshell "Cornish Delight"..(Michael) came on asking for advice to open a Pasty shop in Bury, Lancashire (Proper home made stuff,(actually it wasn't).. not mass produced like Greggs) and it all went pear shaped from there..........
