All, trying to be organised for Christmas this year and after a watch book of two for friends.

Are there any 'must have' watch reference/encyclopedia type books for the keen collector/enthusiast?

Also interested in any good patek specific books, especially one that include current models.

Cheers

A friend bought me Cult Watches last year. Makes for pretty good reading actually.

I haven't got Cult watches yet, but will hopefully getting it in the next few months (leaving present from work). Also, have a look on Amazon - I have a book called The Watch by Gene Stone. There is also the Wristwatch Annual 2010 which is due for release next month.

Alternatively, if you really want to push the boat out there is The Book by Breitling or try and track down the Omega book

The Wristwatch Annual series are really good. Brief history of each of the brands featured and specs and details for the models featured for each brand. Also pics including some close-ups. The 2008 edition I have also has a section on movements.

I can spend hours browsing and dreaming...

Another vote for the wrist watch annual series - a book you will go back to again and again. I also have the other two books mentioned above and whilst they are good, if I could only have one it would be the annual.
