Have been looking for quotes for post and rail. I need a fair amount. Quotes vary hugely. Of course I want the cheapest but I want to make sure I am getting good value. What sort of questions do I need to ask about the products?

I have come up with
-type of wood
-treatment
-is it seasoned (does that matter?)

anything else I need to ask?

What are you using it for? As in will it be keeping in horses or other livestock or is it just as property boundary?

Reason I ask is that if it is for horses it would be good if you get this type...

Rather than this type as it is easier to repair than this...

On the first type when animals kick it or you climb over it and break it is much easier to nail on a new bit.

Hi, the answer is type a, rectangular posts and rails, nailed together. the land has no specific purpose but I am keeping possible future uses in mind.
