It is widely accepted that when Maggie Thatcher was aiming for prime minister she used her science degree background to push forward a new theory..... that of 'global warming'.
This approach got her recognition on the world stage as someone with a cause and gave her a target audience with world leaders who had an 'ear' to listen.
It no doubt raised her profile on the world stage and got her recognised as a 'knowledgeable' UK prime minister. (Although we now know that 'global warming' is the wrong term to be used as it can not be taxed if the world is found to be cooling).

Is the big buffoon, that nobody elected into power that we unfortunately have in the UK at the moment, trying to emulate what Maggie did all those years ago with the new term of 'climate change' ?
Is he for some strange personal reason trying to win a fight of popularity on the world stage against the likes of Obama in his quest to be some sort of ‘climate change’ world leader?

Is brown making the UK public suffer in tax for his own misguided attempt to become ‘popular’ with his G20 friends?

He is like a dog with a bone... he has something, at last, that he can go on and on about, and because there is no material fact to what he is saying, no one can argue with him.....

I don't think so, the Spiv Blair is probably more guilty of this in his effort to be become adored by the world. Brown just sees it as a revenue raiser, and let's face it, he needs everything he's got. I also think teggers has a good point in that the whole scam is based on an unprovable myth so he, effectively, can't be criticised for fking this one up.......for once

He's trying to be a god.

A god with a sideline in ubertaxation and lifestyle totalitarianism.

Yeah, there is that too, Flash Gordon saviour of the Universe, the Economic genius admired by all (that live in another country) and now about to pull his crusties over his pinstripes and save us all from Armageddon. What a plonker
