Booty in old jacket at the start of winter!

I found an old paper napkin and a coffee shop loyalty with two stamps on it when I dragged out my winter coat this morning.

What a start to the day, and the winter!

A £5'er in my work winter coat.. Definately a nice find, well.. I'd rather it was full of Red £50 notes, but a £5 note will do!

Thanks for reminding me, I'd squirreled £20 away in a funny little pocket in my suit jacket last night. I'd completely forgotten about it so have just returned it to my wallet rather than leave it for the dry cleaner to nick!

don't wear "winter" jackets, have one jacket for when it rains, any time, any place and that is all - so nothing to find as know whats in it already.

Thats nothing, when I was a kid and going through clothes like no tommorow my mum used to make me wear clothes from seconds shops.

One day I get a denim jacket for something like a fiver and found twenty quid in it, so I guess I made a fifteen quid profit from buying something from a seconds shop!

I don't think I told my mum but instead spent the money on important things like MK1 Garbage Pail Kids and giant gobstoppers the size of a snooker ball, which took you the best part of a week to eat them!

So you'd gladly go out in your 'work outfit' whatever it maybe, in the rain to move cars around (Forecourt) and then go and sit back inside in your wet clothes.

I'd rather wear my work coat

Inside this office you'd be dry in no time, we don't have aircon, but do have 100 people and about 150 computers so it's always a balmy 25+ degrees in the afternoons.

I'd disagree with that. I nearly had proper frostbite last year up in Scotland. I actually thought I was going to lose a fingertip. It worked out as somewhere between -18 and -26 with wind-chill. Coldest I've ever been and I've ski'd in -20 in Iceland.

What sort of gloves were you wearing ? (Thinsulate ones did me fine at -30 if that's good for future reference)
