How do the cars sounds in standard form in the new game? Do the E36/E46 M3's still sound woeful, stock?

got to agree, as long as it sounds ok and not like a bee on fire it's a fun game

Besides... can you really hold the game to ransom over engine sounds without questioning "is my sound system up to the task?..."

The M3's didn't sound great stock in the game, whereas in reality they sound fantastic. However some cars in the game sound very close to the real thing so I am wondering why the disparity?

Of course it can. If you've ever played GTR you'll know that.

They can get the engine sounds to sound pretty damn close to the actual thing. I've played numerous games like that, and have heard the engine sounds from Need For Speed Shift and they sound pretty good.

The Ferrari California in Forza 3 sounds terrible. Engine sounds are one of the best things about a driving game, and to make them sound not realistic isn't great.

But hey, its a game.

I don't understand why people think Shifts sounds realistic? They sound good but not realistic, ive driven most the cars ive had on shift and unless mine all had secret engine transplants they don't sound like they do on shift.

In answer to the above question, the cars don't sound very good in Forza but i don't really car tbh it's not a reason that i would buy a game.

Though not perfect the shounds in Forza are a lot better than before. the M3 does sound good enough.

Not as good as shift.

Better than FM2.

The race cars are closer to what they should be - the DBR9 and P1 Acura sound pretty nice, as does the P2 Mazda - "normal" cars all seem to be a bit pumped up, as in noisier than they should be. Not really driven anything high end that isn't a racer yet.
